Sound Blaster Z - Microphone not working

Microphone doesn't work when plugged into the microphone port of my Sound Blaster Z.

Sound Blaster control panel detects if the microphone is not plugged in, so it's definitely in the right port.

I've tried resetting everything to default in Sound Blaster control panel, doesn't help.

It's the default microphone in windows recording devices.

Disabling on-board sound in device manager doesn't help.

The microphone works fine if you plug it into microphone port of motherboard, but sounds crap (according to people on Teamspeak) so it's not an issue with the microphone.

Any ideas? :(

This is still an issue.

- I've disabled the on-board audio in the bios.
- Everything in the sound blaster control panel is set to Rear Microphone
- It detects when the microphone is plugged in/unplugged, but it doesn't work.

What else could it be? =/

swap to Asus :)

is it enabled correctly?

I mean if it works when it's in the mobo is the default one switching to the SB when you plug it in the SB
