I recently upgraded my pc and am unsure on whether I should keep my current soundblaster, upgrade it or stick to the onboard one provided by the MSI X570 Tomahawk? Any clues?

Quite well.
And Creative's bass neutral SBX Pro Surround fits well with DT990's bass boost.
(SoundBlasterX G6 with completely superior headphone amp has same level price in B-stock)

I'll jump on this too :D - How do you think the SoundblasterX G6 would cope with DT770 / 990s? In Soundblaster command I have SBX profiles off with my AKG 702s. Is there supposed to be a 'Bass neutral' SBX profile?

Interested as I am contemplating buying some closed headphone like DT770s... though still unsure about the whole not-detachable wire situation as use a Vmoda Boom pro mic

I'm not much up on this stuff but I can tell you the sound blaster z can make the dt990 pros go uncomfortably loud :D Still tempted to swap to a G6 though for the better amp

SBX Pro Surround algorithm itself is bass neutral.
(unlike old Dolby brand overhype Headphone)
