i have the sound blaster z sound card but does anyone know what voltage led's are used in the card as i want to replace the red colour for another colour, can i just get 5mm diodes and just solder back onto board.

Red should be ~2.1V.

It's not possible to change the colour without increasing the voltage.

so i cant take the old led out and solder a new one in.

Can you not stick a Volt metre (if you have one to hand) on it to find out ?

You could easily solder it out and replace !
