Sound Blaster ZXR Upgrade or not ?

Hi there guys i have a Sound Blaster ZXR with the sennheiser Game one headset + Beyerdynamic MMX300 + Beyerdynamic DT770 pro headphones and i use them for 80% gaming and 10% each for movies and music.
Ive been looking at the Sound Blaster X3 G6 AE9 and EVGA Nu. Am i wasting my money or will i hear a difference over my ZXR ?
I didd just try the Arctis Pro wireless as they were on sale for £205 and imo they dont sound as good as any of my ones i have and for all the reviewers who say they sound great with the 7.1 on that just makes me think they are all being paid as they sound just as bad as any other fake surround setting you can use.
Or is there a better headset i can buy ? ( i do need a mic). I have also had the sennheiser HD650's which sounded great but i didnt use them too much as i needed a mic so i sold them.
The reason why i have the game one and MMX300 is i wear the open back in the day and closed back at night as wife has super hearing.
Would the AKG702 or 712 and DT990 Pro sound much better than what i have ?

I had the Senheiser PC37X which are bascially the Game Ones. For gaming I dont think you can get much better. The only reason I sold mine was becuase I hard the stark realisation im a 45 year old man and shouting at kids on modern warefare was something I dont think I will be participating in anymore

I use my HD600s now, which whilst not as good pinpointing eniemies in games, are better for music.

I was using the PC37X with the Soundblaster G6 and it was a great little amp. I sold that the same time as the PC37X as I cant stand Creative software and went to a more music based setup (Topping E30 and L30)

Why not just order the G6 from soemwhere with a good returns policay and if you dont like it, send it back. Stick with your Game Ones for games though, there great for that.

So i got a G6 a couple of days ago and i can confirm it does not sound as good as the zxr with headphones in either games or music. I will say seeing as i paid around £220 a few years ago for the zxr and the g6 is around £120 and it sounds almost as good it is great value for money and would be great for a console player but i will be sticking with my zxr for now.
