Hey guys,

As this is such a great community I am posting this to see if anyone else has encountered this problem and has a fix.

I've looked all over the internet for a solution to this, I've tried many out but nothing seems to work, when I plug my headphones into my mobo I get a buzzing sound when I move the mouse, if I am on a game the sound gets louder and if I plug my headphones into the front of the PC I get no sound at all.

I've checked that no wires are resting on the mobo that might pick up some sound.. one more thing to note is that when I plug my keyboard into the back of my keyboard the sound gets louder..

I have tried plugging my PC into a stand alone socket in the wall as people have suggested that, I am aware that the wiring in my house might be the cause, in which case I can do nothing about it I know.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

Think you might have meant something else here ;)

That sounds quite odd. Is the front panel audio connected to the motherboard? That could explain the lack of output from the front.

If that doesn't work, I'm not really sure. Maybe you could try an external USB soundcard like this in case it's an issue with interference inside the case?

Problems when you move the mouse and variation when you use a different port possibly suggest a motherboard issue. The motherboard might be having some problems allocating/regulating the power rather that the house wiring. A separate audio card may well fix the problem.
