Bit of a long story but here's a brief outline.
I recently moved house and had to put some of my stuff into storage until I get a place of my own. Among the stuff in storage is the sound card thingy for my P5N32-SLi mobo.
Rather than dig it out, I bought a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer card which worked fine.
I then decided to upgrade to Vista 32bit, unfortunately the Creative card wouldn't work worth a **** on Vista, so I bought a Trust 514DX 5.1 Sound Expert Optical which works splendidly with shiny new Vista drivers (take note Creative, it's not difficult).
I then hit another snag, some of my games weren't working as well as they should under Vista so I decided to install XP64 in dual boot with Vista (I fancy adding some extra RAM at some point). The problem I now have is that the Trust card doesn't have 64bit drivers (take note Trust, it's not difficult).
Do any of you fine people know of a sound card that will work with Vista 32bit and XP 64bit (preferably 5.1 but not essential)? It doesn't have to be particularly good, just good enough for me to play my games without listening to the ghastly crackling and popping which emanates from the Creative card under Vista until they stop ****ing around and give us some proper Vista drivers.
PS: If you're going to run Vista and XP in dual boot, install XP first, installing it after Vista is a complete PITA
Thanks in advance.
