hi
my motherboard just recovered from a crash.
I have a onboard sound card. Now is making funny noise even I am not playing anything.I tryed a usb sound card from my mate, works fine.
so I like to buy a sound card for my aego m.
wow. too many out there. and I don't see the point buy a 5.1 or 7.1.
my speaker is 2.1.
any idea please?

Simply, M-Audio 2496 :D . No point in surround like you say with those speakers, the M-Audio is just quality stereo and is £50 (from a competitor) :)

hi
thanx for the reply. I google it a bit. The card seems for pro. or music editers.
I just listen music or watch movie. Is it a bit too much for me?

It's certainly not a bad point that it is semi-pro quality, but would you rather spend less? I'd say it's not entirely overkill, you should appreciate the difference but yes it has the capacity to compliment more expensive speaker setups :) . For a cheaper card something like the Audigy 2 second hand is quite decent. You'd be throwing money at surround support you don't require though.

I think I will go for it.
there are quite a few people recomment this card here.not many 2.1 card out on the market anyway.
thanx for you time, wish you happy chrismas.
