Sound card for gaming

Hello All

As above need a sound card for gaming mainly BF2. To be paired with medusa 5.1 headset and amp. Budget £100.

Spec below

E6600 @3.5
GIGABYTE DS4 P35
2GIG OF RAM
3870 512
XP

Get yourself some proper headphones and an X-Fi

Get some proper headphones and of course dont get a creative card. Go for the xonar.

I'd still go for an X-Fi over Xonar for gaming. Never had driver issues with the X-Fi on any of the intel boards I've used.

you're one lucky guy then. play the lottery much?

i had very little trouble with my x-fi gamer, but id still recommend the dx if you have a pci-e slot going spare. its the best value card out there right now, and happens to be very good as well.
