after something that has optical out but can do with coax maybe something that can output raw pcm/bitstream so i can hook it upto my denon avr, my mobo has coax but the realtek onboard is just crap (P5N-E)

As long as you don't plan to use Vista or Linix, M-Audio Revolution 5.1, outputs DD & DTS, 44.1khz as 44.1khz, and 48khz as 48khz.
