Hi guys,

My cousin has managed to break his computer so I've got it all formatted and it's working well bar one thing, the sound card. The mother board is an "intel d915gag". I've installed all the drivers for it but the sound card won't work. The problem is, I can't select the realtek hd audio device, all that is there is "Modem #0 Line Playback" (This is in the sound and audio device section).

There is no way to select the realtek one even though it's in device manager.

I've tried all the latest drivers, sound and chipset. Seems like a lot of people have the issue but nobody knows of a fix.

I'm stumped, any help is apreciated.

Cheers for the reply mate.

The motherboard is an Intel d915gag. I think I will just buy him a cheap sound card, It seems it just doesn't want to work. I think even a cheapo £5 sound card will do him, he hardly even uses it.

Cheers
