New sound card or new A/V Reciever?
I curently have a ASRock Nforce 2 motherboard with 5.1 onboard sound.
I also have a very basic Pioneer VSX-C100 (most basic av product pioneer do) and doesn't have analogue 5.1 in so basically I can't use 5.1 currently.
I used to have the Abit NF7-s which had an optical out which did the job.
So I can either get a Yamaha RXV359 reciever
http://www.yamaha-uk.com/av_amps_receivers/?product_id=135
for £120 which does have 5.1 analogue in and is a small upgrade in quality and power over my pioneer and has useful added stuff like component switching.
OR I can get the X-fi gamer for ~£60 and use the optical out to plug into my pioneer.
I can't afford both.
