Sound Card Possible Upgrade Questions!!

First things first i currently own an audigy 2zs. Ive been pondering for the last couple of days about whether i should upgrade to a beeter card or not.

I mainly watch films and listen to music but i do play games when i get time during the week. I use both anologue and digital conections and have 5.1 surround.

What i want is some soundcard recomendations as well as the following questions answered below!!

1) Would i notice a difference in sound quality if i upgraded to an xfi extrememusic from my audigy 2zs?
2) Is it worth upgrading to the above yet as surely oem versions are due out soon which should save me some money?
3) Are there any better sound cards around with similar features and a similar price tag?

1) Subjective but likely. I won't hype it, but the X-Fi has improved on some of the shortcomings in the A2ZS.
2) There are certain places you could acquire the OEM version, but you need to check periodically. You recognise them as they are the one without gold plated jack. Can't say much more.
3) Basically, no. If you are willing to sacrifice gaming features for better audio, then the EMU 0404 and 1212 between the Xtreme Music. Only creative offers the features in Creative cards, so that leaves you with the X-Fi.

Also i take it there are no other differences between oem and retail?

Anyone else have any opinions/suguestions. I'm in no rush to upgrade but I am seriously considering the XFi ExtremeMusic if its going to be worthwhile.
