Sound Card

I have just ordered myself the Asus P5KC motherboard. Is the integrated sound good or is it advisable for me to purchase a sound card?

It probably depends on how good your speakers/amp etc are. For the vast majority of uses the onboard sound will be fine and the performance benefit from switching to a sound card is fairly negligible. Simplest suggestion is to just try it and if you don't find it sufficient to buy a soundcard then.

Seconded, even spending just £30 on a sound card for gaming u will notice a HUGE improvement over onboard.
