Sound Cards

I have been reading up on sound cards lately as to be honest i have only ever used on board sound
I have read a number of reviews of different cards now but do they really make that much of a difference (honestly)??

if they do then i think i would gladly buy one

Honestly? Yes.

If you have halfway decent speakers/headphones and get one of the better soundcards, it'll be instantly apparent.

If you are lucky some of the more informed audioheads will give you a longer more informed answer.

Which one you purchase depends upon what sort of money you wish to spend.

It appears from other threads there can be problems with drivers for Creative sound cards if you are going to vista in the near future, so perhaps one of these may be what you are looking for.
