Sound coming from PSU.

I put together this entire new system last week. However I've started to encounter a strange noise, I think I pinpointed the noise to come from the PSU.
Is this something I should be worried about? It's really noticable when no sound is playing through my headphones.

I found some videos online which has the same noise as mine. These are not my videos but it's a good example

Are you talking about the sound that's almost like a cricket or mosquito at a fair distance away and you can just about hear it sound? If so, I believe that's a form of coil whine, my old HX650W had that (sporadically).

What PSU are you using and what is it powering?

Yes exactly that. It's awful underload.

I have the Corsair HX 850w. Should I send it back and hope for a refund then choose a different brand/model? Need help!

I would send it back but if you get a straight replacement then the same problem may occur.

Seasonic are one of the better manufacturers.

Coil whine, don't even bother with replacement, get a different brand altogether.
Was using an EVGA 750W for few years, no issues. Just "upgraded" to a Corsair RM1000i because under load the fan for the EVGA would kick in and for some design characteristics, when the PSU is mounted with its intake pointed to the side, the noise would be perceptible, not loud, but annoying.
The Corsair, under load, unbearable. Would be like 2 7200rpm HDDs under load mounted straight to a thin sheet of metal.
Using a Seasonic 850 now. Solid, no coil whine, decided to keep the fan on and it's virtually silent.

I’ve just RMA’d the new 2021 Corsair RM850x due to coil whine.

Now looking at either Phanteks AMP 750 or Seasonic GX 750 as a replacement.

Both identical units, but AMP is a few quid cheaper, not decided yet.

My old PSU did that. I was aware of the cricket chirping but didn't realize just how noisy it was till I installed a newer SuperFlower Leadex III 650W and the silence was deafening.

i took the psu out the case, the fan doesn't even spin underload it just makes the noise when running a benchmark
Coil whine. Happened the same here with the RM1000i. Replaced with the Seasonic Focus 850 and has been great. Only a very, almost muted, coil from the GPU, which only happens in few games if I don't cap the frames. Happens on Assassin's Creed if over 60 fps, but won't happen on COD.
