Sound delay when speaking into mic

So I recently purchased a Tecknet gaming headset SKU: GH928

It's one of those USB plug and play ones


But when I speak in the mic to listen to myself there is a delay in the sound which is very annoying - what could be causing this delay?


My other older gaming headset didn't have this problem but it wasn't a USB, it plugged into the little green and pink connections.

Any ideas anyone?

Could be anything and it is hard to not sound like a snob but, they're £15.99, USB, 7.1 and vibrate?

That's a lot to pack in for the money, I can't imagine they are to much, thy must be built as cheap as is humanly possible.
