Sound distortion with ADI audio chip & Nvidia video card
I have a HTPC with a Asus P5B mobo with onboard ADI AD1988A audio codec. Originally I had a ATI 1600 pro video card and it worked well. However the video card was noisy so I replaced it with a Nvidia 7600 GS extreme which is much quieter. The down side is that I now have significant sound distortion and this seems to be caused by conflict between the audio and video drivers. Has anyone else experienced this, and can anyone suggest a solution please? I have the latest Nvidia driver (1 September 06) and audio driver (25 July 06).
