Sound driver for emachines PC

Have recently refornatted HD on friend computer and am now trying to get it to work again! :confused:

I need a driver for on board sound for an emachines 770 PC. Anybody any idea where to look? Have no CD that would have come with machine, windows doesn't update automatically and the machine is out of warranty so emachines no help. Any help much appreciated!

Open it up and make a note of the codes on the board, namely northbridge etc, then google it.

Alternatively it may have a board model no. you can use.
