Hello!
I've bought these speakers yesterday and they sounds awesome! I own nice DAC as well which is Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. Everything sounds lovely. I use them just like computer speakers and i want to equalize the sound. Do you know any good software to do that? The Focusrite's eq is only for DAW of choice but i need to equalize general sound coming from windows, not from ProTools or other mixing software.

PS Im big noob in audio so please don't flame. These are my first proffessional speaker ever. Cheers :)

Can you not just use the EQ in whatever software you play your music back through?

Not sure why you'd want to EQ Windows sounds?!

Hey man glad you're liking your speakers!

More important than the EQ is how the speakers are mounted - are they on decent stands or, at the very least on some Auralex MoPads (or similiar).

Photos of your setup would be really handy to advise!

I have isolation pads under the speakers so everything sounds awesome. I have enough space to place them properly on proper distance from the floor and my ears. All i need is equalizer. I have equalizer in DAW plugins so its useless for me. I need to equalize music which is playing from youtube, from AIMP and others. I hope you know what I mean cuz my english aint so good.

Get some stands dude. Seriously.

Remember, I spend all day every day EQing the ****e out of drums, bass, guitars and vocals and you (as the consumer/listener) invariably do not have access to acoustically treated mixing environments, thousands of pounds worth of microphones (with frequency responses of their own), microphone pre-amps (which again colour the sound) and converters.

What I am saying is - you need to trust in the pros do master their tracks correctly!

If you are wanting a more 'exciting' sound (typically the 'rock' preset on most Hi-Fis) I absolutely advise you to think about buying some decent stands FIRST. Speaker stands will sound WAAAAAAAAAAY better than those isolation pads. Period. I would even see if KRK do stands built specifically for those speakers dude. That'd be the best option. This will give you the sound you desire I can promise you that!

Next on the list is your room! Try and make sure there are no adjacent walls to where your monitors are. If it is a small room try some bass traps (stonewall if possible) or, if it is a large room get some sofas and/or curtains for sound absorption. The Tweeters of your Rokits should be also at ear level and be sure to play decent sources (lossless).

I know this isn't the answer you want to hear but everytime you EQ something you are actually DEGRADING the sonic quality in the signal chain and I can absolutely guarantee you that most professional mixed and mastered records you hear will have been produced on some decent quality monitors in an acoustically treated room. Can you really say the same of yours?

What? These are studio monitors. They're specifically meant to be flat and not tampered with. If you're using any audio enhancing software, turn it off. Get some pads or stands, make sure they're at head-height and that's you.
