Hi, what I want to be able to do is have my PC hooked up to my monitor via DVI and use my tv in the lounge as a 2nd monitor via HDMI into the amp and then out of the amp via hdmi again so we can watch films and still use the pc.

Now my problem is probably easily answered but I dont know what would happen with the audio - say my gf wanted to watch a film whilst I played a game. Would she hear the audio from the film or how exactly would it work..I cant wrap my head around it?

Thanks

A lot of media players allow the user to select which sound device they want to use, rather than the system default. Keep the onboard audio, or sound card, whichever you are using as the default, and select the graphics card HDMI audio output in the media player.

I was thinking is it also possible to have the sound coming out the HDMI from the graphics card whilst using headphones plugged into the onboard audio?

sorry probably wasnt making it clear - I would want the sound from the film on the 2nd monitor coming from the amp via HDMI out of the graphics card and sound for the game coming from the primary monitor via DVI and the monitor speakers or via headphones plugged into the onboard audio.

Basically want the gf to be able to watch a film and hear the sound whilst I play a game and have the game the audio through headphones or coming through the monitors speakers.
