Sound from Samsung TV

I've noticed when watching films and TV shows, whether it's through nowtv, virgin or bluray, the explosions are really loud yet speaking is quiet, this means I have to turn the volume up but at the same time, this causes everything else to be too loud.

What are my options? Sound bar? Or a seperate set of speakers?

They are very basic settings through the TV though, you have 5 choices to choose from.

I have it set to Stereo on nowtv and my virgin box.

I don't have much room for speakers so I think a sound bar will be better, any recommendations? I may be changing my TV soon so as long as it's able to work with most TV sets.

No real budget, I've been looking at the yamaha yas105 and the Samsung k450, just need to read some reviews.

Cheers all, can't seem to find night mode though? Also there's no option for dynamic range.

Found the night mode, seems to have reduced the sound quite drastically, will see how it is with films. Cheers!
