sound is really laggy

Hey guys

My audio is extremely buggy. I upgraded my bios to the latest version and I also got the latest version for my soundcard. Whenever I play csgo the sound is so buggy that it lags the game and is becoming unsupportable.

Do you guys have any idea what i can do to fix this?

Thanks Twst. if the problem continues would you know what I could do to get rid of it?
Maybe buy a new headset, soundcard, motherboard?

What slot is it in? It sounds as though it's sharing an IRQ with something hungry for resources like the GPU. Can you move it to another slot and give it a try?

the sound card is in the only slot free or that it works on. My motherboard has trouble with the other slots. I'm thinking about just getting a new system because my motherboard is pretty borderline useless.

Does it do this with all games or only specific ones? or just Counter Strike?

all the games as well as youtube. its pretty annoying
