Sound issue 2.0 speakers

Hey all

I've noticed in games, if anything happens behind me, It doesn't come through the speakers (maybe slightly)

Like if a character is talking in front of me and I turn and face the other way, I can barely hear them

Obviously I'm not talking about surround sound etc but it's very jarring

Any thing I should check? Speakers plugged into the green 3.5 jack thing.

Are your speakers set to 2.0 in the audio I know this can happen if there are set to 5.1 surround , etc.

Thanks for the response, yeah set to 2.0

Would using a usb connection be any different? They came with an adapter for that but can't imagine it would make a difference

Not sure about usb connection also have a look in game audio options.

Trying the USB connection might help to work out what's going on. From your first post it almost sounds as if you have mono sound, or only one of the left / right channels connected.
