So where to start, I've has this PC for just over 2 years and have had nothing but problems with it, bought from OCuk, been back twice to OCuk, last attempt at trying to figure this out before i burn it and go buy something somewhere else.

Originally it has a sound issue with a stutter, went back to OC, they couldn't find an issue.

2nd time had sound issues with video stutter, games wouldn't play without stutter, went back, was an issue with bios, and so came back fixed, or so i thought.

Now this is odd, i can play games for hours with no issues, however when browsing or watching netflix or anything like that i may get the quick buzz sound issue, also screens will go black, everything turns off and restarts except the tower and i have to manually reboot pc, ctrl-alt-del does nothing, nothing works.

Does anyone have an idea what the hell is going on?, or should i just bin it.

Spec from when i bought.

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 4.3GHz
Sapphire Radeon RX VEGA 56 Pulse 8GB HBM2 PCI-Express Graphics Card (11276-02-40G)
Intel 660P 512GB M.2-2280 PCI-e 3.0 x 4 NVMe QLC 3D NAND Solid State Drive (SSDPEKNW512G8X1)
Microsoft Windows 10 Home Advanced - Systems
Lian-Li Lancool One Midi Tower - Black Window
Gigabyte Aorus RGB 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit

Any help much appreciated.

first of all i would make sure you have the right codecs, i use the k-lite codec pack you also get the mpc-player which is good enough ive never had any bother with it, Do you have speakers attached, if so maybe worth checking them on another system, if you are also able to try a different graphics card and see if the issue is still there, also make sure your up to date with all your drivers, try another broswer as well, you could always give your gpu a stress test using furmark and as a last resort you could reinstall windows if its still there after trying the above, it looks too expensive just to dump

A 2700X is not guaranteed to run 1600 Fclk when ram is set to 3200mhz and buzzing / sound issues can be one of the symptoms of an unstable fclk as can reboots/crashes.

Are you certain that you're not thinking of the 1700X? Sounds like Ryzen 1 problems like I have with my 1600X.

I'm not that good with comp diagnostics but looking in bios it shows memory running at 2133mhz.
All drivers are upto date, I did a Windows reinstall and it still did same issue.

So I've done a complete wipe and reinstalled windows, updated everything. The issue with screen shutting down and everything restarting but the tower seems to have gone.
However the buzz issue is still there.

Hard how to explain it, I'll be watching a show or movie (any browser) and randomly I'll get a buzz you can hear only last like 1/2 second then back to normal I have googled every fix known to man and nothing works, could this now be a hardware issue do you reckon?
Thanks.

Your initial post, as others suggested, made me think that it was bios related. These can be a result of pushing either the memory too fast or the cpu too fast.

Have you updated the bios ?
Is your memory XMP enabled and have you set that in the bios ? (XMP or DOCP are the 2 names for it)

Ive had instability similar to what you describe from both trying to push the CPU over clock too much as well as a bios version that simply didn’t like my 4 sticks of ram. An update to the bios fixed the memory, and lowering the cpu speed a fraction made all the difference.

The Bios was updated the 2nd time it was sent back to overclockers, they did a bunch of tests and said everything was fine, no more buzzing etc, once returned 6hrs later, buzz returned.
XMP is set on in the bios
I dont overclock so that shouldn't be a problem.
Just one of them issues where eventually I'll just give up.

Last option is to send it back yet again and I just think it would be a waste of time.
