Hey guys,

I'm having a few issues with sound using firefox. Atm, it only seems to affect youtube and watching youtube vids in ff, some are embedded in remote pages etc – like on these forums.

Edit: Just checked on the bbc, and tried to view, 'Gascoigne describes his paranoia,' and I have no sound there either?

I think my problems stem from my recent upgrade to the 9.3 cat's and then back to the 9.2's. I had no sound at all, but then realised that it was because my speaker settings were set to hdmi… I've sorted that but the ff issue remains:(

I also thought it might have been a plugin issue – I've recently installed adblock and no-script, but leaving them enabled/disabled doesn't appear to matter?

All the time ie is fine

Any thoughts? I suppose the obvious is to reinstall ff?

Cheers,

SW.

Reinstalling Firefox most likely won't do anything.
If it's something localised to Firefox, try safe mode or a new profile. If it's specific to Flash, try properly uninstalling it (there's an app to do it on the Adobe site) and reinstalling.
