sound issues

just changed motherboard from an asus commando to the gigabyte x38, cleaned the drivers and reinstalled them.

now the speakers are buzzing and hissing.

how can i stop this? tried reinstalling the drivers to no avail

speakers are connected via 3x3.5mm jacks, and no i have not reinstalled windows. should i have or is an intel to intel mobo change ok?

yes ive tried restarting.

would i have to format or can i just install over the top?

im gonna try reinstalling wondows over the current install and see if that helps
