I am new to Linux. I decided to try out Debian 8 x64. I have an EMU 0404 pci sound card and I cannot get the sound to work at all 
I am using ALSA Firmware. I have trawled google for everything, I just cannot get anything out of it.
I can find the card in a hardware list via the terminal but HDMI audio only ever appears to work. Alsamixer will only show HDMI audio?
I want the emu to work, will it ever be possible? if not I will be going for an ESI Juli audiophile card as this has full alsa linux support.
