Sound not coming through correctly.

after several restarts, and changing the Azalia Codec(Audio) from Auto>Disable. It is still the same. When using Windows media player it is the same problem, however when playing videos on say Youtube, the bass is louder but that is possibly just due to the video's on youtube being different from the MP3's I am able to test. And no, i see no way to change the sub woofer in realtek sound settings.

additional note; I just tried to make a skype call to some friends while my headset wasn't plugged in(when it is its fine) and got a notification from skype saying "Can't Detect Your Sound Card, you computer needs a a sound card to make audio calls ...etc etc etc" I have not seen this before but I know my stsyem has a sound card because its playing sound (duhh). This has confused me more but someone who knows what they are doing may understand why it is telling me this.

I uninstalled and deleted Realtek audio & devices, restarted and windows installed "High Definition Audio Device" drivers. I now have access to the enhancements tab, but even ticking the boxes that you stated it's still very quiet.
