Hi I've got a laptop from pcworld about a year ago it's make is Advent: 9415
15.4" TFT
2gb memory
120gb hdd

And basically whenever i listen to any format of music/sound i get this crackling sound and when i turn the volume up it goes even worse...It's unbearable lol, at the moment i'm limited to using headphones which is slightly irratating.

I've tried updating drivers/taking the laptop part etc, no luck here.

Any help lol

Sounds like one of your speakers could be slightly ripped/damaged from your description, if you're fine by headphones. As you turn the volume up, the speaker moves more and makes even worse noises, the speakers in most laptops are only weak plastic/paper things so tear quite easily if poked, and make a horrible crackling sound if broken.

Only thing I can think of is either get a good set of headphones, or see if its at all possible to get a replacement speaker, which could be quite hard.
