I have had a new motherboard for about 2 months (ASRock cheapy), and since Friday night, when I get any media playback, I get a background interference on the sound. Its slowly getting worse and comes up on PC games as well. I have tested the speakers by plugging in earphones into the on board Sound and it is still heard.
Would purchasing a cheap soundcard be the best way to solve this, or is it something more devious inside the motherboard ?
