Good evening all i recently purchased Flatout 2 the game plays fine but theres one problem there is no sound what so ever. I've installed DirectX 9.0c August 2006 release, tried older drivers, current drivers still to no avail.
I ran the sound tests through dxdiag and i hear no sound through all the software buffer tests but here sound through the hardware buffer tests.
What gets me i hear sound through WMP when listening to audio or playing videos, VLC player, iTunes, Quicktime works as well and Command and Conquer Generals, RTC 3, Sims 2. It just doesnt agree with Flatout 2.
Anybody have any idea what the problem could be
My sound is provided by the onboard sound on my motherboard C-media CMI8738 and i am using Windows XP Pro SP2 fully updated.
