Basically having some quite serious sound problems recently. This is with both my microphone and my headphones.
When I am playing on cod4 and using my teamspeak programs I will suddenley lose all sound from one application (sometimes both). Take for example that teamspeak stops working: I will minimise out of game and the windows 7 volume mixer still shows max volume and the little green bar is still moving up and down with my teammates voices through teamspeak - I will then have to close teamspeak and reopen it and it will work perfectly again. This happens similarly with cod4 which will suddenley lose all audio and I will need to quit and restart the game to resolve said issue.
I though I might need to upgrade my motherboard drivers (onboard sound), and I used the realtek sound application - the sound would still disappear randomley, however, when it did so the realtek program opened (minimising my game) and told me it had lost contact to microphone and headphones which it would then find again within a matter of seconds. I would remaxisimise the game but it would occur indefnitely.
Might possibly be due to the irq?
