The sound that my computer makes is disgusting so i thought id get a new case that is soundproof. I really like the look of the p180, or the Thermaltake VB1000BNS Soprano they bothe look really nice but i just wanted to know if any of the 2 actualy keep in the sound? or if there is any case out there that blocks sound and plus my current case vibrates a lot and i think that might be creating more sound. any suggestions?

P.s i was thinking of getting the Zalman CNPS9500-AM2 Aero Flower for my FX62 is it all that its hyped out to be?

There is no such thing as a "sound proof" case but some cases do have noise reduction features. If your components are incredibly noisy (ATI stock cooler, northbridge fans, loud case/psu/cpu fan, raptors) then a "quiet" case will only do so much, most of the noise will still be heard.

There are better coolers than the 9500. Scthye Ninja and Tuniq Tower.

LOL when i say soundproofing i dont mean like No sound what so ever That was an error on my part. I mean a case that holds in at least a bit of the sound. noise reduction was the word i was looking for. so what cases would you recomened. soz my english isnt as good

LOL There is no way on earth i can afford that. its my birthday in 2 weeks maybe everyone on ocuk can chip in and buy it for me.

If you have noisy components a case won't help unless you lock it away in a press or something :) Have you looked at changing your cpu cooler, quieter psu, hard drive enclosures, after market gpu cooler, quieter case fans. All of these will make the most difference regardless of what case you use. No case encloure will drown out noisy components. They will just help make the noise less obvious. Typically steel cases don't reverberate as much as aluminium ones, and some cases have thick side panels to help deaden noise or they might have a fancy way to suspend the hard drives so they don't vibrate. But I would say any case specifically designed for quiet computing is only going to contribute marginally to a quiet pc (maybe 10% at most) and these kind of cases are designed to be used with quiet components to begin with.

Having said that - a case specifically designed for being quiet is the Antec P150 or the Antec Solo (if you already have a psu). This case can come with a quiet psu, thicker then average panels with sound deadening, and you can suspend your drives on elastic or use rubber grommetts. It has 1 quietish 120mm rear fan with 3 diffeent speed settings, and room for 2x92mm fans up front. It's a pretty decent case I reckon, but if you stick a loud cpu fan, loud 92mm front fan and a screamer of a video card into it, it defeats the purpose.
