Hi,

Just wondering if sound proofing is worth it at all? Looking at the akasa paxmate as an example to do the 2 side panels, bottom & top.

Its a pretty quiet case at the moment, but would like to drown out the 3 hard drives a little.

Thanks

no not really, you still hear a noise

the best way to reduce noise is to have an open air case/test bench, so you can reduce the need for so many fans, but this means far more dust

Sound proofing is ok but you may find it increases temps inside the case, hence more fan noise.

A sound deadened case is noticeable but you need to pair it with some very decent quiet fans also.
