well if you can afford it, you could stick foam all over his walls and a foot thick, and dense foam.

is it just the bass you can hear? if so you could dampen the sound of the sub somehow.

isolating the speakers will help to prevent the bass being transmitted throughout the house so try standing them on several inches of foam.

the treble end is more dependent on propagation through the air, so sealing gaps round the door for example with a draught excluder will help.

yeah ive got to agree with the others ,, if it causing u probs he either need to put up with the headphones or turn it down :P because it will cost u r lot of money turning his room into a soundproofed music studio ;)

This is priceless when you're shopping and your kid won't shut the hell up: "I'm hungry, I want toys, I need my Insulin..." etc. First smack your kid (the 5 across the eyes technique works). Wait a few seconds for your kid to start crying, then smack your kid again to let him know that you mean business. This usually shuts them up because they see that the amount of crying is proportional to the amount of beatings.

:D :D :D

i just about wet myself reading that

Print that page off and leave it on your fridge, as Maddox suggested.

I just wet myself from laughter.

Anyway, as suggested above, use foam for the bass base :p and perhaps cover the room with egg cart trays (you know, them grey things with usually 30 slots for eggs to sit in?) and to make it not your effort - your son will have to put them up (with blue-tac) around the wall when he is going to start using the computer to make noise. This is so he have to put in effort and if he doesn't, he'll grow out of it.
