I've got the Akasa Eclipse case, and I'm looking to make it quieter.

is there any good sound proofing materials that I could buy to line the removable top and side panels to keep noise in?

What fans are you using ?

Its a lot easier to get quiet but good fans than start lining your case with loft insulation !! ;)

i find the bay covers and the door make the most noise (obviously no door noise on the eclipse)

blu tac on the corners of the side panels helps to stop the rattling if they do, 7v mod the fans if they too loud and bungee mod the hard drives helps aswel :)

I'm not sure, think they're the standard fitted fans. I've been looking at the Noctua NF-S12 800 RPM 120mm Quiet Case Fan's which is 35CFM and 8dBa

Also I found that having silicon mounts helps in reducing fan vibration noise, I moved away from the eclipse cos the HDD system wasn't very good imo, ace case to work with though

Yeap akasa sound proofing material looks good, gonna line my case with the stuff in my next build. The notuncas 120 case fans are pretty good also nice and silent.

I think the akasa has a sound matt also the one on ocuk, which is pretty good cos ive been using a fluffy pillow to absort any pc noise/vibrations... but that sounds a lot better.
