Sound Question...

Hey,

I bought an Overclockers system over a year ago now. I use RealTek onboard sound at the moment as my Creative card went bust several months ago. I have had no problems until recently...

To cut a long story short- I installed the new iTunes (very nice, btw), but now whenever I play iTunes and a game (i.e. use a lot of CPU/resource at once), my music becomes very distorted and crackly. I have played music on some VERY low-spec machines before and have never encountered this strange crackling / poor quality sound issue before.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Did the issue start exactly when you installed the new version of Itunes? If so has it been every single time since?

If so then it would sound like it was an issue with that version, I have never used Itunes so I cant comment on that being a possibility or not.

What are the specs of your machine?

itunes 7 is a pile of ***** and notoriously buggy so it could well be that. It crashes every time I attempt to load anything onto my ipod with it.
