Sound Recording

Anybody got any reccomendations for recording sound off a dvd? I need to capture dialogue for a uni project.
ooh yeah, needs to be free as well.

Well aside from decrypting the DVD and riping the audio track out you could just use a program like Audacity to record "what you hear". If it only a short clip you want then this is probably the best option, the audio is captured from the playback device on your computer, no mics or anything involved. Audacity can save to WAV, MP3 and OGG.
