First things first I know very little about sound setups so go easy on me
I currently have an Auidigy Platinum Souncard and some Creative speakers that are about 8 Years old I dont know what they are classed as but they have 1 subwoofer and 4 satellites is that 4.1 ?
Anyway I am about to upgarde my system and have found that a lot of people are recommending the Xi-fi series, I use my PC for video editing and Gaming.
I am considering going for the Xi-fi Gamer but need to think about new speakers. I have a maximum of £50 to spend on them.
I was looking at the 7.1 setups but my PC is against a wall in the corner of my cellar which doubles as aplayroom for my kids, at the moment I have managed to trail the wires for my two rear speakers along the ceiling and hang the speakers from there, I cant imagine me doing the same with 6 satellites that the 7.1 comes with. Will I get away with a 4.1 or 5.1 speaker setup using the Xi-fi card ?
