Ok, recently installed Vista again on the laptop to clean it up. Went to view a video on Youtube and had to download Flash, so i downloaded it and something went wrong.

Sound ALWAYS stutters every few seconds.

Its like;

fine (2 secs) -> Stutter (1 sec) -> Fine (2 secs), etc.

Heard of this before? Its a Dell 6400.

I've unistalled Flash and restarted but nothing. Try re-installing sound drivers?

Try doing that yes. Have you installed any new software around the time the problem started? Try checking DXDIAG if this still applies in Vista (not sure as I don't have vista) and see what hardware accelleration level "sound" is set to.

Tried it re-installing the drivers and it did nothing.

Just loaded up DXDIAG and messed about and its now stopped. :confused: No idea what happened.

Thanks anyway!
