Sound stuttering.

I keep on getting sound laggs/stuttering mainly watching youtube and playing games.
However when playing breaking Benjamin on media player the sound was fine.

Any ideas from anyone how to fix the problem?

first of all i want to say breaking benjamin are AWESOME! Dairy of jane acoustic is one of my favorite all time songs.

Second of all..

What sound card do you have? Or is it onboard sound?

Try updating your drivers as well.

What is your system specs ?

sound card is Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 PCI-Express Sound Card with built in Headphone Amp.
motherboard is Gigabyte Z77X-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard.

try disabling the other audio devices...apart from the Xonar ones, there could be a conflict with onboard sound or audio on the graphics card

quick update. I haven't had any problems today. Don't know what was going on. will keep everyone posted if it continues.
