My previous PCs had bundle sound control software. Dell has WAVES and ASUS had a sound program. Now I have a Gigabyte MOBO but cannot find any proprietary sound software from Gigabyte. Do they have one and if not can you recommend a sound program for controlling audio, level, bass, tone, equalizer and all that?

I think the short answer is usually, or it depends.

If I look at the Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro page; https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X870E-AORUS-PRO-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver-audio it has a link to download Realtek HD Audio Drivers. My expectation is that if there is any audio software then it should be included withing that download. Please note this says it's for Revision 1.0 - 1-1 so that not be correct for your model.

Fwiw I use USB DAC/AMPs so don't enable the soundcard in the BIOS so haven't used onboard audio software for a while.

Generally I've found the features pretty awful and sounds best flat. Although with modern PEQ you can perform room correction. That would be superior to the usual slider EQ controls.

A good speakers shouldn't need bass or treble adjustment

I agree with philtor
Everyone has different hearing
And different preferences
I dont like too much bass in my music
Not being able to make adjustments would be
A no for me
And what's the definition of "good" speakers anyway?

Look in control panel
See if realtek audio manager is there

Equaliserapo is a great alternative
Just don't put too high a db value in preamplication in one go
Windows volume at 18 with apo off
For me is equivalent to windows volume at 4 with apo on
And 20db set in preamplication
Set it too high and it will blow your ears off

I use a cheap pair of headphones, so I really don't need the pro stuff. :D I do listen to multiple sources and formats, so equalization is necessary for comfortable listening, as the levels are all over the place.
