Howdy all,
So I finally got round to trying out my new Macbook Pro last night - so I am still trying to get my head around everything. So far, so good.
However, I have installed VLC (After using it for years on my PC, I thought I'd grab it for the Mac...) - And after connecting my Macbook up through the "Thunderbolt" port to a HDMI cable, I've been able to get a film onto my TV.
But the sound is only coming out of the Macbook. I've been into the System Preferences and changed the sound output to the HDMI cable (Sony TV) - but it still only comes out the Macbook speakers...
I've been fine listening to my music through iTunes and the sound comes out of the TV - through the HDMI cable - perfectly fine!
Any ideas why it isn't letting the sound through the HDMI cable in VLC?
OR... Is VLC not the best media player to use on the Mac?
Thanks,
Marky
