Sound to TV.

Hey guys.

I'm a little confused about getting my sound aswell as my video from my PC to my TV.

Here are the connections on my TV.

The HDMI in port will be in use from my Xbox 360, so what else could I use to get sound aswell as video across?

Component. Pr + Pb + Y with L+R sound.

Or, as the post below states, get a HDMI switch box.

I might be tempted to get myself some sort of HDMI switcher. The manual ones aren't that expensive.

The other way would be to use an stereo audio cable from your soundcard and plug it into that blue jack point that is labelled HDMI/PC/DVI-D/Audio-In. I'm not sure if you can get the sound out of the graphics card any other way than HDMI though so you'd need to hook your PC sound device up to the TV. You could then use DVI-D or VGA, whichever is your preference.

Youn can also get VGA to component video cables.

What about this adapter?

If I used a HDMI from my Graphics Card to that, which then went into DVI, would I get Audio and Video?

Just use the DVI, and 3.5mm cable from the sound card, or on-board audio. HDMI switch is another choice you could make.

No. DVI carries video only.

I may use SCART and Component cables from my xbox 360 to the TV, and then just use the HDMI in port for my PC..
