Sound Very Quiet on Vista

I've just reformatted to Vista Home Premium 32bit and installed my latest sound driver.

I went to play music and the sound is very, very quiet. Even if I have my speakers full blast, and if they worked they would blow the roof off, you can barely hear them.

Any ideas? Cheers.

Have you got your speaker cable plugged into the microphone socket?

Have you checked the mixer? Right click on the volume icon in the bottom right -> "Open Volume Mixer"

Everything is maxed and connected correctly

It happens on mine if i don't have both Windows and Creative's speaker setup correctly.

They must both match, on my rig.

Happened to me, then the latest sound drivers fixed it
