Sound was working fine now "bitty"

Im on Windows 10 64 bit system been working fine for months.
It did a windows 10 update on 8th April and 12th april sound started being "bitty"/stuttery.

I rolled back to before update and that solved it.
Turn PC on again today and its back doing it!

Ive uninstalled Realtek drivers and put latest Nvida ones for my GTX1080 and still doing it, Im now downloading the windows 10 update.

Any advice?

Start by checking DPC latency.
https://www.resplendence.com/latencymon
Keep it running and monitoring on background until you get those issues.
After that look Drivers-tab for longest execution times for likely cause/s.

This is one of those problems that isn't going to be easy to diagnose.

What EsaT says is the place to start. I had a similar issue years ago on Z87 and it turned out to be USB drivers of all things. Non intel is all I can recall, the chipset manufacturer doesn't come to mind unfortunately.

I've also had latency issues with a Killer network nic.
