Sound with the Wii component cable.

Hi guys and gals,

I am trying to get the Wii to work with a component cable instead of the scart. The picture is fine but i have no sound. I am trying to connect it to a Philips 37pfl7332/10 with the following connects http://www.p4c.philips.com/sca/sca/070524/070524083456_19248.gif

In the GIF it has an xbox 360 with a cable taking the audi output and merging them into 1, but i neither have a cable like that nor those the Wii have a audio output for it. Is it a no go because of the way my TV takes audio input?

Looking at the manual for that TV (http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/3/37pfl7332_10/37pfl7332_10_pss_eng.pdf) Your TV should have a white and red phono input marked "Audio in", your component cable should have the red/white cables to plug into these...

Yes i saw that earlier. Unfortunately on back of my TV its marked Audio out and not Audio in. When connected and it gives me nothing.

Is it like a 3.5mm jack?

The Audio L/R seems to take an input jack like that, as shown in the GIF in the opening post-it's a bit small and blurry! Looks like that is what i need to do, but would like some confirmation. Also will the sound be worse doing through that than through the scart?

No, I used this way on my old Philips HDTV, sounds fine.
