anyone used SBEMU yet? looks like a very good solution for modern hardware to run old dos stuff. should be able to use a old mini pc to do dos without need for actual oldskool hardware.

Whats wrong with using Dosbox, PCem or 86Box? PCem you can even emulate an AWE32 with full RAM access for sound fonts.

Because SBEMU works on real hardware and for some people that is important.
Its given a use to a whole group of hardware that perhaps would never have a use again.
Intel atom netbook? Too slow for most things.. But perfect for a DOS gaming machine using SBEmu
 
Are, I see the point now :) Not just modern hardware, older hardware too.
E.g. my Win 98 laptop had a good PIII chip and Geforce 2 gpu, but the audio was absolute garbage.
