Wonder if anyone can help.
Just recently upgraded my PC to an Opteron and Asrock motherboard but it doesn't have (or appear to have) a digital output socket for the sound.
My old Asus A7N8X had a digital co-ax connector which I have hooked up into my amplifier so I need a soundcard with the same connection.
I can't seem to see a soundcard with this output on them on OcUK (though not limited to just buying here - no competitors only product names please) though a lot of them do advertise a digital out capability  The only one that seems to have this is the picture to the M-Audio selection which doesnt appear to be sold anymore...
Is it via one of the 3.5" jacks that the sound comes out of digitally of the other cards, and if so do you get some sort of adapator cable to make it into a "proper" connection for exteral amps?
The soundcard needs to support the 6 outputs for analogue as well to hook into my Medusa headphones
Any help appreciated. As would any suggested buys.

EDIT:
Just spotted the Audigy 2 EX which looks like it has co-ax out on the external module. Will go for that one I think.

That's the one you want. Assuming your amp is a DD one. I think they're bringing out a card with DTS encoding too, which would explain why OcUK doesn't have them in stock.

More sound cards than you think have coax output these days.

Cheers Tom, I must admit I looked at the manufacturer name, didnt recognise it and thought they are probably not up to much LOL.
My amp supports both DD and DTS so it looks like just the job then, though it doesn't appear to be an easy card to get hold of as nowhere has them.
