Hi guys, I'm looking for a decent soundcard for music and movies, but mainly movies. I've got a X-fi xtrememusic but it's pants for Vista it really is. The sound is flat compared to when I'm running it under XP. However, I'm not going back to XP, since I've made the transition to Vista now and I'm quite happy bar the sound department.

At the moment I'm using onboard sound, so you can understand why I want something better - something that atleast has good drivers and support for vista unlike my xtrememusic card.

So recommend away, but remember my budget is £150 max so don't go too steep.

Thanks

The Asus Xonar D2x :)

I get mine from OCUK on Monday/Tuesday for £111 inc free del so bargain.

Guru3D reviewer said it's their new reference card and they only needed to listen to it for a short while to make that decision over the Auzentech Prelude.

On their tests it's only a few FPS below the XFI in games but it excels in music and movies thanks to the OTT DAC/Opamps from Burr Brown.

I cannot wait as I just got some new speakers today :)
